the moment americans stop calling football "soccer" will be when our [men's] national team rises past mediocrity. the go to espn analyst for "soccer" scored 9 goals in 94 international caps. to quote an inaccurate [but perfect for this case] jay-z rap, "that's a one hot album every ten year average! [and that's so LAAAAME!!]." we need a football expert who's scored a little more frequently than once every nine hundred minutes [plus extra AND stoppage].
anyway. i'm missing all the beauty that was the world cup. all these old premier league and la liga greats are migrating to the mls as the twilight of their careers illuminates. people complain, but the more americans learn from elite level footballers [even at their advanced stages] will only benefit everyone.
my next career might have to be in the MLS as a general manager, or something. i'll reference my head-to-head online fifa '11, '12 and '13 records on my resume.
